I’m interested in hearing from people who have had students use mobile devices for research projects that involve mapping and gathering images, video, and audio. I second (third, fourth?) the suggested sessions on a digital humanities clearinghouse and multi-modal literacy (with discussion of discipline-specific digital/multi-modal literacy).

There are a group of faculty and a dean at my university (Central Washington) interested in starting a digital humanities center. I would be interested to hear from colleagues at other institutions about how such centers have developed on their campus, how they are organized and funded, and the kind of work they support.
